Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2021
When: Sunday 10 October 2021
Where: Hyde Park London, United Kingdom, W2 2UH
Due to the current pandemic this event has been postponed until 10 October.
We will be in touch with all our amazing runners as soon as possible.
The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon gives runners the chance to take in great views of the capital city and many of London’s historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall. Join our fight and raise funds for young lives against cancer.
This event was set to go ahead in October but due to the Corona virus pandemic it has been postponed. Take part in the first ever April Royal Parks Half Marathon!
Our places are £30 and all we ask is that you pledge to raise £350 to help us support children and young people with cancer. But don’t worry, our amazing fundraising team are here to help you smash that in no time.
The money you raise could pay for a Young Lives vs Cancer Play Specialist to spend the day with a child and help them to understand their cancer treatment. This reduces their anxiety and makes a frightening experience easier.
Team perks include:
- Bespoke training support to get you over the finish line feeling great
- Fundraising help and support
- Super cool kit to wear on race day
- The loudest of cheers on race day – we may have to be more than 2m away but you’ll still hear us
When a child is diagnosed with cancer it threatens everything, for them and their family.
At a time when they should be busy being children, enjoying their rollercoaster teenage years or finding their feet at uni, life becomes full of fear. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, of overwhelming money worries, mental health stretched to breaking point, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we get that. We are the charity that helps children and young people and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
