WORLD CANCER DAY
4 FEBRUARY 2023
As the cost of living crisis worsens, children, young people and families facing cancer need your help to keep the heating on, put food on the table, and put petrol in the car to get to vital cancer treatment. Support them this World Cancer Day by taking on a Young Lives vs Cancer fundraising challenge. #MakeItCount

what your fundraising could mean to families facing cancer
How your support makes a difference

Sarah’s story
“When my friend could take me, I would give her money for petrol which would be £5 each trip. But there’s other times I’ve had to pay out £12-15 for a taxi.”

Gideon’s story
“We had to be quite brutal, every bill that we could cancel got cancelled. You know you’ve got to buy extra bedding, you’ve got extra electricity costs because you’re doing a lot more laundry, and when you’re in hospital and have to eat, you end up spending more than you would on home cooked meals.”
make a donation
Our Crisis Fund, which is made possible by supporters like you, has already helped hundreds of children and young people with cancer and their families facing financial hardship this winter. But there are young cancer patients who haven’t yet received the relief of a grant. Some risk going without vital treatment because they can’t afford to get to hospital. We can’t support them without your help. If you’re not able to take on a World Cancer Day challenge make a donation today.
Find out more about our Crisis Fund
We know that families and young people facing cancer have been hit hard by the cost of living crisis. That’s why this winter, we’re providing a Crisis Fund to offer grants to families and young people who are in the greatest need.
