CLIC Sargent’s World Cancer Day Art Show

To mark World Cancer Day 2021, we asked budding artists, poets and photographers  who have been supported by us to enter our first ever virtual art show!

The theme was inspired by two young people who said that these special words gave them positivity during an especially tough year: unity, strength, love, friends and hope.

CLIC Sargent CEO Rachel Kirby-Rider said:

“The past year has been tough for everyone, but especially the children and young people CLIC Sargent supports. World Cancer Day was very different for us this year but it didn’t stop us coming together for Young Lives.  I’ve been blown away by what’s been submitted and am proud to show off the talents of the young cancer patients we support.”

We hope you enjoy our virtual art gallery as much as we do! Thank you to all children and young people who have put so much effort into these pieces.

Our World Cancer Day themes of Strength, Hope, Unity, Love and Friends were inspired by two young people who told us these words have given them positivity during what has been an especially tough year.

We are marking the day itself, Thursday 4 February, by hearing from young cancer patients and their families, spreading their messages of positivity, and raising money to support our work.
