A Home from Home
If you are a parent, family member or partner of a young person (age 0-25) receiving cancer treatment in Manchester or if you are receiving treatment nearby and no longer need to be in a hospital bed, we can help. Get in touch about staying at Jack’s House in Manchester.
You will be able to cook and eat your own food in our excellent kitchens; wash your clothes using our free laundry facilities, relax in the cosy lounges and if you drive, we have free parking during your stay.

Home from Home notices
- Induction times for new families are Monday 9-1.30 Tuesday – Friday 9-4. Jack’s House Manager is Cheryl Ratcliff available to contact on 07717697846
- We consider patients receiving ambulatory immunotherapy, ambulatory hydration fluids, or ambulatory step-down care (where you no longer need to be in a hospital bed but need daily review and live too far to travel) and we have a process for you to communicate your stay to your clinical team
- We’re really sorry but we’re not currently able to accommodate patients having ambulatory chemotherapy by a back-pack pump, or patients or families of patients having Proton Beam Therapy.
