H Samuel and Ernest Jones go gold to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

H Samuel and Ernest Jones are supporting Young Lives vs Cancer, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people and their families, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by donating 10% of profits from the sale of their Because We Care Collection – a range of gold and white gold jewellery to the charity.

Elizabeth Lowrey, Strategic Partnerships Lead at Young Lives vs Cancer, said: “When cancer strikes young lives, we step in to help families find the strength to face cancer. We rely entirely on donations to fund our vital work and so we can’t thank H Samuel and Ernest Jones enough for their fantastic efforts.

“Thanks to staff and customers, we will be able to help even more children and young people thrive not just survive after their cancer diagnosis.”

H Samuel and Ernest Jones staff and customers have been helping to raise vital funds for Young Lives vs Cancer since their charity partnership began in October 2014.. H Samuel and Ernest Jones customers can also support by adding 25p donation when they pay by card in store through Pennies’ digital charity boxes.

Gillian Connor, Head of Brand and Marketing at Ernest Jones and H. Samuel, said: “We’re very proud to be supporting Young Lives vs Cancer with our Because We Care collection during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

“Every purchase will help create a better future for children living with cancer, providing valuable funds for the charity so they can help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.”

Young Lives vs Cancer help children and young people (0-25) and their families to face cancer and everything it throws at them. Their specialist social workers help families from the moment of diagnosis with emotional and financial support from helping to access grants and benefits to liaising with schools and employers, as well as being someone to talk to and to listen to what they need. The charity’s Homes from Home also offer a free place to stay nearby the hospital so families can be together.
