Jack’s CLIC Sargent Giving Tuesday message to Morrisons

Little Jack Thompson has a very special message for his friends at Morrisons this Giving Tuesday. The youngster wants to say a big THANK YOU to Morrisons staff and customers for their efforts raising more than £6 million for CLIC Sargent so far. The partnership is Morrisons’ biggest ever, and is helping thousands of children and young people like Jack cope with cancer.

Jack, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour as a newborn baby, has filmed a special video thank you message for Morrisons. He wants to thank them not only for their incredible fundraising, but for making his dream of working in retail come true. Jack, who loves shops because he gets to meet lots of new people, gets to be Store Manager of Morrisons in West Denton every other Wednesday for an hour. Afterwards, he tucks into a fish and chip supper in the café – with no peas!

Elaine McKay, Jack’s grandma, has helped Jack raise over £30,000 for CLIC Sargent over the last few years. She said: “Jack has to face so much – he has just started his seventh round of chemo – but he still thinks he is the luckiest little boy alive and wants to do whatever he can to help others.

“Morrisons has welcomed Jack with open arms and for that, we want to say thank you. Not only have they helped make a little boy so happy, but they have raised £6 million so children and young people like Jack can have the support they need to face cancer.”

Holli Kellett, Senior Account Manager at CLIC Sargent, said: “Jack is a dedicated fundraiser who enchants everyone he meets. He may be starting in West Denton, but he tells us he wants to visit every Morrisons store in the UK to help raise money for CLIC Sargent and say thank you for their efforts. He is a true little hero.”
