Today, 12 more children and young people in the UK will hear the life changing news that they have cancer. Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for up to three years.
We are asking you to join us and take on a Keepy Uppy vs Cancer 360 Challenge, in support of the 360 children and young people who will receive a life changing cancer diagnosis during the month.
What is a keepy uppy?
Keepy-uppy (noun) · keepy-up (noun)
A game whose aim is to keep a football/ball in the air for as long as possible by bouncing it off any part of the body.
So what is the Keepy Uppy vs Cancer 360 challenge?
Become a #keepyuppychampion for Young Lives vs Cancer #keepyuppyvscancer by:
- Completing 360 Keepy Uppy’s per day / per week or throughout the month
- Completing them on your own/with your class/ team/group/friends or colleagues
- Seeking sponsorship for your fabulous efforts from your network of friends/family/colleagues

Get StartedWhen a child is diagnosed with cancer it threatens everything, for them and their family.
At a time when they should be busy being children, enjoying their rollercoaster teenage years or finding their feet at uni, life becomes full of fear. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, of overwhelming money worries, mental health stretched to breaking point, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we get that. We are the charity that helps children and young people and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
