2,000 adventurers of all experience levels & ages will take on a classic capital to coast route, testing their grit over the Bank Holiday weekend.
You can choose to walk, jog or run your choice of distance, from the full 100k, three-quarter 75k, or a half or quarter options. There’s a challenge for everyone.
A Richmond start in Old Deer Park – then the North Downs and wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside to halfway at Turners Hill. The full challenge heads up and over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view.
Your entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt, and a medal to commemorate your achievement.

- Full ‘Daylight’ – 100K over 2 days with a half way overnight camping option or B&B.
- 3/4 Challenge – 75K & ideal if you want to ‘up your distance’ – without committing to a Full 100K – and you miss out the first ‘semi urban’ 25K! Sutton > Brighton
- 1st Half – 58K to Turners Hill, taking in the North Downs and some wonderful countryside.
- 2nd Half – 42K from Turners Hill – a Marathon distance! Also Ideal if you want to join up with a Full Challenge friend.
- Quarters – if 25K is more your thing – there’s the 1st & 2nd + the NEW Brighton 25K

1. Full Sponsorship – you pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place!
- Full challenge – 100K: 50% off the £40 reg fee / £575 fundraising target
- 3/4 challenge – 75K: 50% off the £35 reg fee / £450 fundraising target
- Half challenge – 58K/42K: 50% off the £30 reg fee / £360 fundraising target
- Quarter challenge – 33K/25K: 50% off the £20 reg fee / £240 fundraising target

2. Mixed Funding – pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event place cost.

3. Own Place – you pay the full cost of the event place – fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, and there’s no cost at all to the charity!

Every day 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer. Yet not one of them has the same experience. All young cancer patients have different needs, opportunities and backgrounds and for some, the systems in place and gaps in support mean that their experiences are much more challenging than others. Far too many children and young people with cancer are experiencing inequality as soon as they are diagnosed due to a ‘one size fits all’ approach throughout much of the system. That’s why the support they receive must look beyond their diagnosis. It should provide them with what they need, so that they can go on to thrive no matter what. That’s why we exist.
We don’t receive any government funding so everything we do is thanks to amazing people like you. From funding our brilliant Young Lives vs Cancer Social Workers to our vital financial grants, your support means that we can be there for children and young people facing cancer, and their families, to ensure that having a cancer diagnosis doesn’t mean you lose what makes you, you.
