Your fundraising networks

Make your fundraising fly by appealing to the strengths and interests of your network. Here’s how.

Start by listing all the people you know. Not just your friends and family but people at work or college or people in your local area or social media networks.

Then think about what you could ask them to do.

Here’s a way to think about it with you at the centre. For each group, we’ve suggested fundraising ideas.

A full text description of the diagram is at the end of the page.

Top tip: Make your own diagram to plan all the different ways you could fundraise with the network around you.

Here’s a blank networks sheet to get you started.

Have a think about the strengths and opportunities in your network

  • What are they really good at and how can you use this to raise money?
  • What do they like doing?
  • Do you want to bring them together in person or are they an online community?
  • What contacts do they have that could help you smash your fundraising goals and spread awareness?

If you’re worried about hitting your target, give us a call. We’ll give you a big THANK YOU and help you to make some plans.

Under family and friends, the suggestions are sweepstake, quiz night, trek / walk, craft night, ticketed party / ball.
