We are very grateful for the support we receive from generous philanthropists – whether individuals, trusts, senior volunteers or committee members – who play an invaluable part in our fight for young lives against cancer.
Young Lives vs Cancer relies almost entirely on voluntary donations to fund our work and we give all of our support to families for free.
Individuals and Trusts who donate significant gifts are essential to making sure we can continue to fight for young lives against cancer. Yet at the moment, we’re only reaching two out of the three children and young people who need our support. That’s good, but not good enough. So we’re fighting tirelessly to change this and we can only do this with your support.
The difference you make
As one of our most valued supporters, you’ll be at the very heart of making sure a future exists where all children and young people with cancer, and their families, receive the support they need.
We’ll work alongside you to ensure that your philanthropic objectives for supporting Young Lives vs Cancer are realised and you can experience the difference your gift is making. We pride ourselves on providing bespoke support to those committing to us on such a significant level, to make sure donating to Young Lives vs Cancer continues to be a motivating and fulfilling experience.

Charitable Trusts and Foundations
The support of trusts and foundations is crucial to Young Lives vs Cancer’s work. We’re dedicated to working closely with trusts and foundations to fulfil our shared charitable endeavours, and we’ll take care of all the practicalities – whether it’s finding an appropriate project that fits with your objectives and interests, providing a progress report or arranging a personal visit to see our services.
Projects supported by trust funding
Miss Agnes H Hunter’s Trust has been part-funding a young person’s social worker based at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh since 2001.
Miss Agnes H Hunter’s Trust
Our founder, Miss Hunter, had a special interest in supporting people with cancer and we welcome the work of CLIC Sargent in developing a much needed service for teenagers and young people which helps them to increase in self-confidence and independence and minimise the impact of cancer on their lives.
The McClay Foundation has been generously supporting our No Place Like Home programme in Northern Ireland.
The McClay Foundation
It has been a strategic goal of the McClay Foundation to assist children and young people, and their families, in Northern Ireland who have been diagnosed with cancer. The CLIC Sagrent Homes from Home programme is an excellent and well designed venture and the McClay Foundation is delighted to be part of it, and in particular Paul’s House and Amy’s House.
