The money raised by this event will help to support children and young people facing cancer and their families.

Think you can beat your local pub rivals? Waiting for an opportunity to show off your skills? Now’s your chance!

This September, J D Wetherspoon pubs across the UK will compete in KICK for Young Lives vs Cancer. Teams will battle it out in regional heats for a place in the Wembley final, where we’ll crown the national champions.

How it works:

  • Form a team of 5–8 players in your pub, and have each member register individually.
  • Fundraise £251 throughout August and September to support your team’s entry to the tournament.
  • Play at your chosen regional venue on Sunday 13 September.
  • A £12 entry fee will be deducted automatically from your September payslip.

All registered pubs will receive an information pack two weeks before the event with all the information you need.

Registration deadline: Friday 21 August 2026

Republic of Ireland pubs:

Fundraising supports Laura Lynn. No salary deduction will be made—your €12 donation will be collected and banked in your pub ahead of 14th September.
