Five ways you can shop to support Young Lives vs Cancer this Giving Tuesday

Want to do some Christmas shopping while also doing something good to support children and young people with cancer? This Giving Tuesday we’ve compiled five things you can buy from our partners that will make you feel good about your shopping spree!

1. Eat a sandwich

It’s as simple as that. Morrisons has been our corporate partner since 2017 and this year they’ve launched a Christmas sandwich range where 5% of the proceeds from each sandwich will be donated to Young Lives vs Cancer.

If you’re looking for a festive lunchtime treat there’s plenty to choose from, from your classics with Roast Turkey Dinner and Pigs in Blanket sandwiches, to a Festive Cheeseboard or a Vegan Vegetable sandwich.

2. Wear some cosy pyjamas

Our friends at Scamp and Dude have an amazing range of pyjamas for adults and kids with donations going directly to us. The ‘Smiley PJs’ are infused with kindness and superpowers. Available in Blue with Neon Pink and Pink with Neon Pink, the unisex pyjamas feature the brand’s famous ‘Superpower Button’, designed to give children and adults a boost of superpowers and comfort when they need it the most.

3. Paint your nails

Barry M launched a limited edition nail paint named after Esme, nine, who was diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this year. The company was inspired to create the Nail Paint after Esme set up her own manicure challenge from her hospital bed at the Royal Marsden Hospital to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer.

The new Nail Paint, which Esme named herself as ‘Esme’s Deep Marine’, is a holographic blue sparkly colour (Esme loves sparkles!). And it’s not just for women – Esme’s challenge is all about men embracing colourful nails (her dad was the first to paint his!).

4. Cuddle a bear

Meet Hercules, the Young Lives vs Cancer bear! This adorable bear comes wearing his own hat and scarf and his soft white fur makes him an ideal cuddly companion. Hercules was kindly created by our national corporate partner, Signet Jewellers.

Price: £9.99 (£3.50 from each cuddly teddy bear will go to Young Lives vs Cancer)

5. Choose a lightening bolt

Ethical handmade jewellery maker Katherine Barber, based in Devon, has designed this cute mini Lightening Bolt Necklace using recycled silver.

Katherine was inspired to design it after realising how much the Covid-19 pandemic had effected young people, and reflecting on her own experience of cancer as a teenager.

The description states: “Lightening bolts are a source of energy and occur within or amongst clouds. Used as a symbol of strength and power and associated with luck.”

Katherine is also selling mini Lightening Bolt studs. 100% of the profits from both come to us.
