The Care Bears™ head to London this Share Your Care Day in support of Young Lives vs Cancer

To celebrate the Care Bears international giveback holiday Share Your Care Day on Monday 9 September, fans are invited to meet Cheer Bear at the HMV store on Oxford Street, London, from 11:30am-5pm, in support of Young Lives vs Cancer.

Share Your Care Day is celebrated annually on 9 September to encourage sharing and caring around the world. This year, Care Bears fans can share their care by meeting Cheer Bear and donating to Young Lives vs Cancer, a national charity supporting children and young people with cancer.

From 11:30am-5pm the iconic Cheer Bear will be making appearances in the store so fans can have their photo taken and get their paws on a range of pin badges and keyrings featuring favourite Care Bears characters for a suggested donation of £1 (badges) and £2.50 (keyrings) each to Young Lives vs Cancer.

Kimberley McIntyre, Senior Licensing Manager, EMEA at Cloudco Entertainment, commented: “We’re thrilled to see so much enthusiasm and support for Share Your Care Day. This event is a wonderful way to engage with fans while supporting an important cause. Meeting Cheer Bear is not just a delightful experience, but also an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of young cancer patients. We look forward to a day filled with caring and sharing and thank everyone involved for being such great partners.”

Young Lives vs Cancer supports children and young people with cancer (0-25) and their families. Their specialist social workers make sure they get the right support at the right time such as speaking to their schools and employers and helping them to access benefits and grants to help with the costs of cancer. The charity’s ten Homes from Home across the UK also provide young people and families with a free place to stay nearby to the hospital.

Alex O’Connell, Strategic Partnerships Lead at Young Lives vs Cancer said: “Share Your Care Day is a great opportunity for everyone across the world to stop and spread some care. Money raised at this year’s Share Your Care Day event in London will help us continue to provide vital support to children and young people with cancer across the UK. Thank you to Care Bears for their ongoing support and to everyone for making this incredible event come to life.”

The Care Bears and Young Lives vs Cancer’s partnership was launched in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Care Bears in 2022. Brokered by UK licensing agent Bulldog Licensing and Louis Kennedy, leaders in charity and licensed character partnerships, it has raised over £250k so far through the sale of exclusive pin badges and key rings in One Stop and JD Wetherspoon in the UK.
