Young Lives vs Cancer calls on new Prime Minister to ensure needs of children and young people with cancer are prioritised

Following the appointment of Liz Truss MP as the new Prime Minister, Young Lives vs Cancer alongside Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group and Teenage Cancer Trust, has written to the Prime Minister to ensure the unique needs of children and young people with cancer and their families are a priority during their time in office.

For too long, the voices and experiences of children and young people with cancer have been overlooked and action is needed now. It is time for the Prime Minister to commit to age appropriate care, better mental health and aftercare support, and more financial assistance for cancer costs for families living with cancer. We hope the Prime Minister responds and accepts the offer of a meeting.
