Virtual Bucket Collecting

We all love bucket collections because they’re so simple to take part in - and now you can also do them virtually!

Bucket collecting in supermarkets across the country forms a vital part of the income that we raise. But we understand that sometimes it’s hard to find the time to sign up for a collection. The good news is virtual fundraising is just as easy!

By setting up a JustGiving page, you can raise money online and still engage with Young Lives vs Cancer supporters!

As always, we’ll be on hand to help if you have any questions along the way, but we think you’ve got this! Now, let’s get you set up…

1. Visit justgiving.com/campaign/YoungLivesvsCancerVirtualCollection. By linking with this page, your money will go into our big Online Fundraising pot but people will still be donating via you!

2. Click “Fundraise for us” and follow the step by step instructions

3. Don’t forget to include your story of why you are fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer and a photograph, so people know exactly why they should donate

Shout about it!

We know you’ll be great at convincing your pals to support you in your fundraising mission. But here’s some images you can post on your social media accounts to help get the cash rolling in! Don’t forget to share the JustGiving or Facebook donate link when you post.

Money Matters

By fundraising for us,  you’ll help to make sure we are there for young cancer patients and their families in the future. Times are tough for all of us right now, but they’re even tougher for children and young people with cancer.

Here’s some info on how donations will help. They’re great to share on social media too!

  • £25 would pay for a social worker to do a home visit – stopping a young cancer patient becoming isolated.
  • £35 funds a whole family’s accommodation near the hospital their child is being treated at for one night.
  • For every £100 we raise a family can get a Young Lives vs Cancer grant to pay for everything they need when first diagnosed with cancer.
  • £1,000 pays for the bereavement support of five young cancer patients and their families.

Psst…

Wanting to have fun and raise money at the same time? We’ve come up with lots of different ways to set up fundraising events virtually. Head to our virtual fundraising page for some inspo and get planning!
