A cancer diagnosis can turn life upside down. Whether you’re a young person with cancer, or the parent or carer of a child with cancer, Young Lives vs Cancer is here to help with the emotional, practical and financial challenges cancer can bring.

Complete the form below to register for support. Once we’ve received your details, one of our specialist social workers will review the information you’ve shared and get in touch to talk about your situation, what support may be available, and what might be helpful for you and your family.

We may be able to support with things like:

practical challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis
emotional support for you and your family
money worries, housing difficulties, benefits and welfare advice
questions about work, education or training

Registering for support doesn’t commit you to anything. It just helps us understand what’s going on and how we may be able to help.

Who can complete the form

You can complete this form if you are:

A young person aged 16–24 diagnosed with cancer,
The parent or carer of a child aged 0–15 diagnosed with cancer.

If you are under 16 and unable to have a parent or carer complete the form on your behalf, please contact us using the details below.

Before you start

To be eligible for Young Lives vs Cancer support:

You or your child must have received a confirmed cancer or bone marrow failure disorder diagnosis from an NHS cancer or haematology service. Some benign or low-grade diagnoses may also be eligible for support.
The diagnosis must have been received before the age of 25
You or your child must be eligible for free NHS cancer treatment in the UK
You will need to have your CNS or consultants name and email address to hand.
