Young Lives vs Cancer joins forces with Metro for their epic Lifeline campaign

Young Lives vs Cancer has joined forces with’s Lifeline campaign to launch a Jurassic Coast Challenge.

Scheduled for May 2024, The Jurassic Coast Challenge, invites people to embark on an unforgettable journey along the stunning Jurassic Coastline. The Jurassic Coast is a 95-mile-long stretch of coastline in southern England, situated within the counties of Dorset and Devon and it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Participants can select from a range of options tailored for everyone. Starting from Corfe Castle, the route heads down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups & downs to Weymouth half way. For full 100 km challengers, it’s past Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and on to West Bay (of TV’s Broadchurch) – before a finish line celebration in the vibrant town of Bridport. Great Three Quarter, Half & Quarter Challenge options are also available – PLUS a Marathon option.

Rachel Kirby-Rider, Chief Executive at Young Lives vs Cancer said: “We are so excited to be partnering with Metro’s Lifeline campaign. This is a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness of the experiences of children and young people with cancer and how the support we provide can help them and their families.

“I’d encourage everyone to sign up to our Jurassic Coast challenge and get fundraising. It’s going to be an incredible day, and one that will have a massive difference. Every pound raised through this campaign will help us be there for children and young people facing cancer and their families.”
