Our passionate volunteer speakers bring Young Lives vs Cancer's work to life, inspiring people to take action and make sure we reach every child and young person with cancer who needs us.
We have a speaker network of trained volunteers across the UK. They come from all walks of life, from students to retirees and to the young people who we’ve supported. The one thing they all have in common is that they want to make sure everyone knows how Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.
Our speakers will talk about the really important work Young Lives vs Cancer does, stepping up to stand beside families from the moment the doctor says ‘it’s cancer’.
Topics they don’t generally cover are things like warning signs of cancer, common cancers in childhood and cancer prevention, although some speaker might want to talk about their personal experiences and discuss their symptoms and treatment
