Portia and Ore Oduba become CLIC Sargent ambassadors
Ore Oduba, TV presenter, Actor and Strictly Come Dancing champion, and Portia Oduba, blogger and social media personality, have become ambassadors for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading charity for young people with cancer.

Ore and Portia have been huge supporters of the charity since 2019. Portia was a founding committee member for the incredible fundraising gala, A Very British Affair in 2019, which raised over £280,000 for the charity. The event, hosted by CLIC Sargent Vice President Jake Humphrey and CLIC Sargent ambassador Christine Lampard, was also attended by celebrity guests Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly.
As well as A Very British Affair, the couple attended CLIC Sargent’s St Nicholas Christmas event with son, Roman, in 2019. The Odubas also made a number of TV gameshow appearances on behalf of CLIC Sargent, including Catchpoint and Alan Carr’s Play Your Cards Right, raising thousands of pounds for the charity.
Portia and Ore said: “We are thrilled to be taking on roles as CLIC Sargent Ambassadors. As parents ourselves and seeing first-hand the important work CLIC Sargent does to support young people and families affected by cancer, this is a charity close to our hearts and we can’t wait to continue supporting such a fantastic charity with such an important cause.
“Like many charities, this past year has been challenging for CLIC Sargent, but their support is needed now more than ever. We hope as ambassadors for the charity we can help to raise the awareness and funds they need to continue to support as many young people and families as possible.”
The announcement of Ore and Portia becoming ambassadors comes at a time when families need CLIC Sargent’s support more than ever. CLIC Sargent’s front-line social workers have continued to provide much-needed support to families affected by cancer throughout the pandemic and their Homes from Home staff have worked hard to stay open so families have a free place to stay near their children while they undergo treatment.
Rachel Kirby-Rider, CLIC Sargent’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ore and Portia Oduba on board as CLIC Sargent ambassadors to help us continue supporting young people affected by cancer and their families across the UK.
“The impact of the pandemic has hit the charity hard financially, we are facing an income loss of £9million this year, which is devastating for a charity of our size. As we look to the future, new ambassadors such as Ore and Portia will be crucial in helping us recover and we are so grateful for their support in this challenging time.”
